I titled this painting January Rose, since I  could pick up variety of roses in winter weather so easily, it is pleasant surprise and luck, meaning I am fortunate to paint the rose in January as well. Actually, roses and flowers can be found all seasons. I admit that I am living in the world so convenient.

I got the urge to paint the rose from life,as the weather here is mostly rainy every day, or every other day and I need to keep myself indoor for a while during these chilly and rainy season, still life is appropriate subject. so I went out to find some rose bouquet at the market and picked up some variety of color, with different combination.
So here is the finished painting on paper. It could be preliminary to larger work on linen later on.
