Day Painting No. 9 Color Play 2

                                                   Color Play2 ( Pastel : 5 x7 )

For this painting, I used beige toned Wallis Sanded Paper. I wanted to put some variation on same scene with different mood. This is more vivid color experiment. I am subject to stick to my own
safe zone. But somestimes, that safe zone makes scream to get out of it. Break through once in a while so that I can call my own voice.

Looking down

Day 6, Painting No. 6
Look down(pastel 5 x7)

This scene is from the Table Top Mountain view, looking down toward the lake seen in distance away.
When I hiked over to the top, the weather was kind of cloudy and hazy. While walking up through the mountain slope, I look down behind me, it was good view landscape which I wanted to capture into one my painting profile.
Human beings mostly tend to look up to climb up or take the elevator to go upper level in life, but when you pause little bit to take your time to look down, you will get unexpected joy or peace.

Morning Walk

                                           No.3. Day Painting

                                                        Morning Walk (Pastel  :5 x7 ) -Sold

This is from Mcdaniel Farm Park in Duluth, GA. On the  road in the park, where I encountered yellow wild flower of which name I don't know. But it was  little joy in the morning walk.  Forest like trees and woods are filled with many complicated leaves, I tried to paint it as simple as possible, but the result came out still so many details.

Daily small commitment

To go one step forward, I made one commitment to myself. I will make small 30 paintings for 30 days. This is to improve and maintain the level of creating art. When my concern  and desire for makeing art become energy to manage my artstic life well, I should let grow enough to reach for some realistic stage.  It's been a couple days I joined daily paintworks. I posted one small painting for auction starting bid for $30.00.

No. 1.  In to the green(pastel 5x7)

This was from a view in the  park next to my place, Duluth, GA where I used to walk in the morning almost every day in spring time as usual, most of the surroundings are green, this is really risk and challenge to decribe literal color as it is, but in order to escape of it, I wanted to picure it with full of it, in that way, when I leave this spot, there will be no regret for not painting that scene. Since, this leafy green moisturized woods and meadow is rare in the extreme dry sunshine weather of Sothern
California.

Passion of weekend Painter

                                          Yellow, Pink, Blue(Pastel: 11x14)

In 2004,  I was determined to paint even only weekend spare time, I had so much eager passion for
producing many mindful artworks, but time goes by, the more I paint, the harder it is to arrive at the  level of professionalism. The more I try to develop my own style, the more blocks wrestles inside of my emotional sphere. It seems so hard to get out of weekend painter. I come to think that anyway,
painting mileage will says it all after all. To overcome weak point of weekend painter and escape into the world of showcase is not for free. Well, I hope I can make  my effort and passion for artwork  worth for rewards in both emotional and substantial wave in the near future.

This painting was done on a Sunday morning quite a time ago, I wanted to play with blue plants picked from the flower bed in the apartment where I resided. Not sure the name of it, it looks like
hydrangea probably.

Mood change by weather

It's been always dry in Southern region of California. During the month of May, a
gust wind along with hot temperature and low humidity caused devastating fire
 around mountain area.
That is not uncommon experience, but painful suffering. When we are in true hot sunshine, it is kind of unstable like a wildflower  or weed in the air.  And next day,  we got rain so hard. As much as plants needs to be feed by moisture, when we are wet we feel so moody so different mode rather than the other day. Oh well. this kind of rare wet weather condition makes me think over more painting composition than anything else. Statue of artist is  somehow  much like well growing plants when watering.
